Instant Pain Relief
Compeed Blister Plasters are more than just a plaster. They are cushioned gel pads that provide instant and long lasting pain relief. As the active gel absorbs excess liquid from the wound, the dressing swells to create a shock-absorbent layer, protecting the blister from further rubbing and pressure.
Long Lasting Protection & Prevention
Compeed Blister Plasters are designed using a form fitting film and tapering shape, so they look and fit just like a second skin. They are durable and flexible and can stay in place for days. The plaster will start to detach when the skin underneath is healed.
Compeed Blister Plasters use hydrocolloid – a moist wound healing dressing. It is an active gel containing particles spread across the plaster that help to maintain the natural moisture levels of a wound needed for skin repair and healing.
Did you know?
• The liquid around a blister contains important cells & nutrients needed for natural wound healing
• When blisters heal in open air, the wound-healing liquid dries up and a scab forms
• Compeed plasters therefore provide ideal healing conditions without scabbing
A Moist Wound Healing Technology
Form Fitting Film
Compeed Blister Plasters are designed to mould to the skin. They form a protective barrier against dirt, water, and bacteria. This film also allows the skin to breathe and lets excess moisture evaporate.
Compeed Blister Plasters are designed to support the natural moisture balance of the wound to promote faster healing vs. an ordinary adhesive plaster. When the active gel absorbs the excess liquid around the blister, the dressing swells to form a white bubble, creating a ‘cushion’ to protect the blister from further rubbing and pressure.
The tapering shape of Compeed Blister Plasters ensures optimal absorption as the hydrocolloid lies right against the skin, and because it is form fitting, it provides strong adherence to stay in place as long as needed for natural healing.
Directions for Use
Clean and dry skin before use. Make sure skin is free of creams, ointments, and oils.
Remove the bottom paper. Do not touch adhesive side of plaster. Apply plaster over the blister area, ensuring edges are pressed firmly and smoothed down against the skin.
Watch it Work:
Within 24 hours of application, you may see a white bubble form in the centre. This is normal. It is a sign that the Compeed Blister Plaster is working to absorb the excess fluid. This bubble also provides extra cushioning to protect your blister from continued rubbing and pressure.
Compeed Blister Plasters are designed to stay in place for up to several days while the blister heals. It will start to detach around the edges on its own when it’s ready to be easily removed. To remove the plaster before it detaches itself, do NOT pull upwards. Instead, slowly stretch along the skin. If desired, baby oil or warm water can be used to help remove.
